We Built a GIF Mixer — First Template: Petpet

You've seen the Petpet everywhere — a hand gently patting whatever photo someone dropped in. We always liked the format, but we'd never found a version where you could actually use your own photo without digging up some sketchy generator site. So we built one, and Petpet is the first template live.

The GIF Mixer lets you pick from a growing library of curated, animated effect templates, upload any photo or GIF of your own, and drag/pinch it into position until it looks right. Hit Generate, and a brand-new animated GIF is composited right there in your browser — nothing you upload is ever sent anywhere.

Every template gets its own permanent page, built from a real emoji already in our library, so you can jump straight from browsing gifs to making one of your own. And just like our standalone tools, the finished GIF downloads pre-sized for both Slack and Discord, ready to use as a custom emoji the moment it's done.

It's also the same pipeline that powers our newer single-purpose tools — the Speed Changer, Reverser, and Boomerang Maker — all built on the same decode/composite/encode engine, right in your browser.
