Gifoid ("Gifoid," "we," "us") runs a searchable library of gifs and custom emoji at this website (the "Service"). This policy explains what information the Service collects, why, and what it doesn't do with it. There's no account system and nothing to sign up for, so there isn't much to tell — but here's all of it.
Information we collect
You don't create an account. Browsing, searching, and downloading gifs and emoji doesn't require any personal information, and we don't ask for any.
Server logs. Like effectively every website, our hosting infrastructure automatically logs standard request data — IP address, browser/user-agent string, the page requested, and the time of the request. This is used only to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the Service (for example, spotting abusive traffic), and is kept for a limited period before being deleted.
Theme preference cookie. If you switch between light and dark mode, we set one small cookie so the site remembers your choice on your next visit. It stores only "light" or "dark" — nothing that identifies you — and isn't used for tracking or advertising.
What we don't do
We don't run advertising or third-party analytics/tracking scripts, we don't build advertising profiles, and we don't sell, rent, or share personal data with third parties — we don't have any to sell in the first place.
Third-party content
The gifs and emoji in the library are curated from public sources. Downloading a file doesn't involve sharing any information about you with the original source.
Children's privacy
The Service isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
